Save our Community Schools (Eagleswell & Llanilltud Fawr)

I have 4 children......2 who have left school completely and 2 which are in nursery and juniors. I would be very sad to see it closed down

save eagleswell school, its a lovely school with dedicated staff.

I strongly support the campaign to keep Eagleswell School as a separate entity. It has its own identity, serves its own community, and has its own unique values - which reflect the community it serves so well. Big is noeither necessarily beautiful or indeed - effective, and is used far too often as a convenient way of solving proble4ms - only at the cost of creating MORE problems!. I wish the Eagleswell community well in their campaign to save their school.

Save my junior school, there are shops around the place and enough houses. This is all greed and no care to the community

I am against the closure of Eagleswell school

I have two sons and they both went to Eagleswell. It is a very good school.

Please save these schools

To take such an action is terrible. My granddaughter attended Eagleswell and I always found the standards high and the kids happy. This is a typical cost cutting process without any regard for the childrens education.

Eagleswell and it's teachers are an asset to the local community. To close it would be a very sad loss to our children now and children of years to come.

there are too many 'mergers' going on in Wales at the moment. none of them are for the right reason, i.e. the betterment of our children's education. they are politically motivated by Welsh Labour and their continuing failure to raise the education standard in this country. No one will benefit from this plan, jobs WILL go and standards will continue to drop.

The plans for amalgamation do not allow for future increase of children in Llantwit Major. Both Llanilltud Fawr & Eagleswell are great schools in their own right and each deserve separate investment. This amalgamation will mean there's no choice in Llantwit Major other than 2 large schools. The congestion along Ham Lane will be terrible. The plan is ill thought out and Vale of Glamorgan Council need to think again.

This is/was the best primary school in llantwit! I went here as a child and the teachers were brilliant! Closing it for the sake of money is absolutely appalling!!
