I was speaking to the deputy Chief of Ludec Fire Department Canada at the St. Patrick parade this week. He told me that he left the DFB 28yrs ago and moved to Canada where he started as a volunteer Fire fighter and has moved up the ranks to DC now. In his time he was given the task of setting up an ambulance service in his station. He modelled Ludec fire department on the way the DFB run their stns, firefighters and paramedics with a full time ambulance service. It has worked in Dublin for 100 years. If it's not broken DONT fix it.

once again the hse is about to make a decision to pritect the jobs of overpaid high ranks, while the people on the street will, particularly in this case, suffer. this won't save money, only cost lives

Put quality of service before money. If cuts are needed look elsewhere than emergency services they are vital to saving life is precious and priceless. Value it.
