This seems very dangerous to have small children crossing 21 Hwy unsupervised potentially. This is not an area to cut costs.

Cancelling a part time essential service such as this which regards the safety of grade school children should not even be a consideration on a busy road such as 21 hwy. obviously the decision of someone whose children don't cross a busy road while walking to school.

If it is a money issue than maybe us Dresdenitea should have a town hall meeting somewhere and come up with ideas so this does not happen . Example having volunteers or studenta needing community placement hours. Heck I would b the first to sign the volunteer sheet. There has been a crossing guard there ever since I was a young boy. We as a community are gonna feel pretty bad if a youngster gets seriously injured or worse and we didn't do anything about it

The crossing guard is very much needed in Dresden. So many people come close to getting hit just crossing at the only light in Town.

We use our crossing guard every day, twice a day...please do not take him away! He always says good morning and afternoon. He is always smiling.

Last week as we were coming through Dresden the crossing guard had his sign up and I could see him well with his colourful vest. I couldn't figure out at first why he was stopping us as at first I didn't see anyone. As we got closer there was a small little guy in grey getting ready to cross the street. I know the school is there but does everyone??? I have a family member who was hit by a car when I was I child and we were lucky he made it!!! Don't let this happen to another child!!!! The small ones are not capable of crossing the street alone!!!!
