The horse trams have to go to the sea terminal. Stopping at the war memorial is no use to anyone. Many get off in between war memorial and sea terminal to do shopping or go to the playground (with kids). Also you need a replacement stable before you sell your original one off.! The fact that the stables are an historic building seems to have no importance to many.

History has proven that any contraction and moving start point away from the main easy access boarding point will ultimately mean passenger numbers collapse or is this the aim

Very short term money saving idea. Saving a bit of money in not laying rails all the way along the prom will lead to much lower passenger figures for much the same running costs.

The whole point of the IoM's heritage railways is they form an interlinked vintage transport network. Without the Horse Trams linking the Steam an Electric railways, each remaining line becomes isolated and vulnerable.

The latest plan to cut back the Horse tram route is sheer folly. Look what happened when the northern section of the MER from Laxey to Ramsey was cut. Does Tyneald never learn. Shortening the route just increases the chance of losses mounting. It is never the correct solution. Leave things as they are. Improved performance has already been seen. Don't ruin the Horse Teams future.

Speaking as a Resident ,The Iom Gov may think it is a good idea but Our Visitors think othwise ,like many Residents, otherwise we will have NO HERITAGES
For people to visit and Experiance.

Manx Heritage is being lost and despite what the Minister unconvincingly said once the line has bee dismantled between the Sea Terminal and Gaiety Theatre it will never return. Such shortsightedness will undoubtedly put the Horse Trams life in jeopardy!

Leave the horse trams alone , keep all the track , it's a feature unique to the IOM . Some folk on this island unfortunately do not appreciate the historic significance of the horse trams/railway and MER. To destroy it is IMO vandalism.

This is a means of transport not a fairground ride. Reducucing the length will result in a severe reduction in riders.

I havemanx heritage with many relatives still living on the IOM and I do not want to see the horse tram route shortened. It is my believe this will have a detrimental affect on tourism and will in time see the horse trams disappear completely.

I am a tourist, not a resident and I find it hard to believe that one of the most historic, original and iconic parts of the IoM needs to be changed after existing for 140 years. It has survived this long and is a major attraction for tourism to the island. I can see no benefit to cutting off the main connecting section to the Sea Terminal and selling off the stables. It would make much more sense to update the existing buildings and make them more attractive and purposeful than trying to move the stables altogether.
