Why break something that is not broken! The horse trams along the full length of Douglas Promanade are part of its heritage, famous worldwide and should remain so.

This is short sited vandalism. If it was a Roman road could they just dig it up move it sideways and shorten it? The Manx horse drawn tramways are a historic attraction and the current Tynwald are custodians of all the Islands history. If they think this is a sensible decision then they are not fit to be the entrusted Government and don't understand fully their long term responsibilities. Once a Manxman always a Manxman

This bit of heritage should be cherished, in much the same way as Paris doesn't sell the Eiffel Tower for scrap metal.

This is unique, part of iom heritage. Getting rid of any part of the track is ludicrous! Douglas prom should cherish this remarkable feature and any structural progress should be planned around this! It is not the way forward!

I use the trams along the whole promenade every time I holiday in the Isle of Man. They are a vital attraction.

This needs to be changed as the horse tram will no longer provide links with steam train and lots of people including us travel up right to the top and then walk the short distance to go on the steam train and then use the horse tram again to get back to Where we started. I for one would not walk through the high street and therefore would probably for go our trips on the train.

The truncation of the tramway is no more than vandalism to the Island's priceless and unique heritage. The days of bucket and spade trips to IOM are long gone ant the railways and tramway are our Crown Jewels. Having grown up on the Island and with my mother there I find the short sightedness unbelievable and deeply saddening.

This is bizarre, beyond comprehension. This is just a remix of the original proposal pre the agreed motion of the Parliament. People, have in their mind that the service is to be retained in full.

I have grown up with the horse trams as my parents did, I would like to think they will continue for my grandchildren and their children. This is only the first step to them stopping altogether.

Keep the full Track route & keep the tramway stables tours .as interest to tourists & regular visitors
people were using it to drop them off near there hotels which is good as better than using the bus service
