Stopping the horse tramway short of the full length is a slippy slope to cutting it altogether especially when the new track will accomodate the electric trams!

The Horse Tramway must be saved it must not be cut short. It is a tourist asset to the IOM I rode it 4 times in the summer.

While being of the mind that such an extraordinary attraction should be under any threat at all, having used the tramway several times this summer, with all my family, I feel that its reduction in length would be a fatal blow to practical use, and thus its income. There is nothing better than walking out of the Sea Terminal and finding a horse tram waiting there, a real treat and a moment that says 'we have arrived somewhere special' - are we to be deprived of something truly unique to the island? Surely not.

Utterly ludicrous proposal, why, oh why are the Manx politicians so hell bent on destroying a unique part of the island's transport heritage??? If this is their idea of progress and forward thinking then God help us...

I don't understand the persistent quest to destroy this treasure, and for the sake of what? It doesn't seem that anyone has a clear plan or convincing reason for destroying the tramway. Shortening it is the thin end of the wedge.

Partially removing the tramway is a desecration of Man Heritage and is not the way forward! The attraction to Tourists is to travel the whole length between Sea Terminal and Derby Castle. I see this as a ploy by those not interested in Manx Heritage to completely remove the magnificent Horse Trams to the detriment of Tourists.

It doesn't make economic sense to cut the length of the tram service. Many want to go the full length and if mr Harmer ever went on the trams he would see where people get on and off. People go from bus station/ sea terminal and take the horse tram before taking the electric tram. The other way, parents and children use the horse tram to combine it with a trip to town and playground. This is really a bid to maintain car parking on the prom and the congestion caused when people sit and wait for a park to become available!

As always an I'll advised reduction in length will make the service less convenient to use, ultimately leading to lower riders hip then more of a case for removal. Just as BR did in the UK to make a case for closure, or is this the plan all along. History shows this is never beneficial
