The horse trams are synonymous with the Isle of Man.Keep them earning a maximum income and requiring less revenue support by retaining the present length of track.

The whole line should be kept intact and marketed as part of an integrated system with the MER, IMR and buses.

It would be an absolute short sighted disgrace to truncate and thus ruin this piece of Isle of Man history. In its full length form it does at least perform the function of connecting two other transport facilities. Long may it continue to do so.

Too many mistakes made by an incompetent Government to comment

It would be criminal and insane if they are allowed to reduce the length of the tramway. The IoM wouldn't be the IoM without the world renowned horse trams.

The horse tram is a wonderful piece of Manx heritage that must preserved for the Manx people and the thousands of visitors that come to the IOM to enjoy the things that the Island can provide.

Totally out of touch with reality, if this proposal goes ahead, why bother investing in the horse trams, sadly they will become, a memory like alot of the priceless Manx Heritage that has been lost. As was proved back in the 1970's with the IMR and the MER cutting back the traditional terminus just kills the numbers using the so-called service. A shocking proposal - try addressing the parking issues on the prom - that would be far more beneficial than getting rid of an icon of Manx life.

I feel that this unique peace of heritage should be treasured by Island's government and not viewed as an expensive inconvieniance in the way of development.

This is a unique asset that the Manx government should PROTECT not expose to development and threat.

This is the oldest extant horse drawn tramway in the world. To close it would be an act of vandalism on your heritage, has anyone sought Lottery funding?

The horse trams are an essential part of any visit to the island, rather than shortening the route, it needs extending to the steam railway station, linking all the Douglas historic transport systems

the horse tramway is a unique and vital part of the Island's attractions. It is essential that a link is maintained from the sea terminal to the Electric Railway terminal
