After so much study and discussion, our masters come up with this dreadful solution, which does not preserve the tramway as we know it, and substitutes an arrangement full of nonsenses.

This tramway is the last of its kind in the world, not just the Isle of Man. The proposals will cripple it, all for the sake of a politician's ego and a few car parking spaces. History tells us with the steam and electric railways that curtailing their length only increases the losses.

The horse tram should be recognised and pres reed as an original unique heritage treasure, enjoyed by visitors from all over the world. It must be saved .

I used to live on the island and have travelled on the horse tram many times. It is a wonderful asset to the island and should be saved at all costs

Don't let penny pinching politicians destroy YOUR heritage like they did in the UK. Better still get rid of the politicians.

This is a unique tramway which is recognised world wide to shorten the route would damage Island tourism, as it would effectively become a tramway to nowhere.

This is a gem in the Isle of Man's Heritage - vandalism in the name of commercialism.

Douglas is a tourist destination, why remove it's most famous attraction. If anything it needs to be extended to provide a transport link as well as a tourist ride.

Does the island have no feeling for it's history ? One less tourist attraction.

Destruction of heritage should be avoided; it is part of the reason for visiting Isle of Man

The Horse Tramway is a unique historical feature which is one of a number of reasons why people visit the Isle of Man.

the tram way is part of the islands history and should be kept as such

One of the main attractions of Douglas is that it is NOT modern. In England, we already have enough seaside resorts "enhanced" by pointless artwork features, so would be unlikely to travel by sea or air to "enjoy" more of the same.

The Horse Trams are part of what the Isle of Man is, they should remain and be subsidised their value is not tangible. If we hadn't spent so much paying politicians to discuss them there would not be a money shortage to discuss, just the same as the promenade.

As a long time visitor and fan of the IOM, I cant believe you would destroy a part of our heritage, which makes it unique. visitors dont come for modern glass, they come for history and culture, retain it.
