To ruin one of the few things the Isle Of Man is known around the world for is absurd. No doubt that someone stands to make a few quid out of this scheme to the detriment of many.

Progress is essential, but don't throw the baby out with the bath water. The horse trams are important to the image of Douglas and beyond

I vote for a single track tramway from Derby Castle to the Sea Terminal. Half a tramway will produce greater losses. Also revert to normal parking for cars rather than herring bone style to free up more space.

PLEASE PLEASE don't take away the Horse Tramway. I first visited the Island with my late mum, in 1987, and she loved going on the Horse Tram, I've visited since, and the one thing that I go on, is the Horse Tramway, to remember the good times, with my mum.

Running the full length of the Douglas Bay Promenade, it connects the Shipping Terminal to the Manx Electric Railway (Trams) and as such, is an important link in the overall route that the majority of tourists use to transit the length of the Isle of Man, it would be a sad day to loose the whole route.

As regular visitors to the Island, my family and I look forward immensely to our trips on the Horse Tram. Shortening the tramway will take much away from the beauty, romance and enjoyment of the journey. As visitors, we see the Horse Tram as one of the iconic attractions of the Island. Please, PLEASE, don't spoil this wonderful part of Manx Heritage!

If this was taken away it would be a travesty. This is part of what makes the IOM such a unique place.

Don't let politics destroy the Island's heritage. Horse Tramway must run full length of the Prom. Great opportunity to convert stables into a tourist attraction.

Douglas is fortunate to have this unique piece of heritage. It would be short sighted to jeapordise its future.
