As a manxman, born and bread in Cregneish — the spelling is deliberate as all Celtic languages were spoken languages and this is how my family, I can trace their ancestry back as far as the mid-1600s in Cregneish — and between Tynwald and Manx Heritage you are totally destroying the real Isle of Man as those with the money ride rough-shod over the true Manx individuals. Please leave the Isle of Man alone, it was fine as it was!!

As a Manx born lass who now lives in Wales, I find it completely unbelievable that the Manx Government are willing to let even more culture vanish from the island. The island is unique with all of its heritage and it should be maintained. The horse trams have survived so much already and it would be a very sad, dark day if it wasn't left as it is to be enjoyed by the future generations. My little boy loves riding on the horse trams, trains etc every time we visit family on the island.

Save the horse trams. They are a brilliant attraction to the Isle of Man.

The tramway should remain part of a joined up transport plan. It is madness to truncate if anything extend .

These proposals stop it from being an effective transport link from the Sea Terminal to the Manx Electric Railway

There have already been far too many heritage items lost on the Isle of Man. This is a senseless proposal put forward by politicians without regard for the historic nature of the tram system The sort of proposal that gets designed by a committee.

Have you no idea what an important historic transport system this is, and that you should be making every effort to preserve it in its entirety for future generations, not run it down and sell off anything you can to make a quick buck? Shameful.

Short sighted to close a tourist attraction! Please keep the trams OPEN!

Scrap the trams now and you have lost them forever ,you cannot bring them back or have some fiberglass replica , only when there gone you will truly know their worth, and then it's to late,I wonder what people would be saying now if a few people hadn't had the foresight and saved the Laxey wheel and the Gaiety theatre?

Surely keep the full length open....such a shame to truncate it. Wake up its a tourist attraction in its own right. Be like Blackpool and get some fully qualified volunteers involved too.

The horse trams are & always have been known on the Isle of Man. Taking them away is another part of the Island destroyed
