Please save the horse trams, it's been going longer than any of the people who are trying to get rid of them

This proposal is quite daft and will have an adverse effect on tourism and the MER. Extending the MER into town could well be a useful objective, but KEEP OUR HORSE TRAMS!

Visit the Isle of Man every year. The horse tramway is a major attraction. Rather than truncate it the service should be expanded. Take a leaf outof Blackpools book and look at the possibility of using volunteers in certain sections of operation

Things looked ok ... all the sudden politicians change their mind ... they cannot be trusted!
Unique heritage; not seen elsewehere in the world. Operation must be continued on the original route!

This is insanity. It's clear that IOM politicians and the executive cannot be trusted with the island's amazing heritage. And it would appear that the large number of high net worth individuals who stash their money in Douglas don't give a jot either. Don't destroy the magic of the Isle of Man!!!

Our heritage is important and we must never lose it. It is our uniqueness that makes us different from the rest of the world and gives us the appeal to people old and young as well as families. The horse trams have run for 140 years and should be allowed to run for the next 140.

So much of the Island heritage has been lost through Government vandalism. This latest attack on the tramway is badly considered

The IoM Government should be banning private cars from Douglas Promenade (it should be for trams/buses only plus for loading/unloading of delivery vehicles), not cutting back the Douglas Horse Tramway.

This is a huge part of the attraction to Douglas and the Isle of man and should be left as it is. I have ridden it many times on my visits to the area and it would be a great loss to see it go.. It's part of Douglas history and should be retained for future generations to enjoy.

Annual visitor to the island. I can't believe you would do this. Would San Francisco modernise its cable cars ? Would London paint its buses blue ?
A short line simply means all the costs with half the revenue potential. Extend into the town and or to the steam railway.

It is pure vandalism to essentially destroy the heart and soul of the horse tramway and replace it with a shadow of its former self. As an essential part of the unique transport heritage, it would significantly harm the visitor attraction of the island.

I always use this service when i visit the Island,as i hopefully will later this year.It is part of the Isle of Man and attracts many visitors.
