Please don't rip up this historic service. It is unique & to lose this wonderful, historic attraction would be sheer folly. Long may it continue to run.

You need tourists to keep your economy afloat, and you need the horse tramway as an integral part of a variety of historic transport systems to attract tourists. If you destroy it now you will regret it in a few years.

The tramway is truly unique, embodies the character and culture of the Island and is one of the features that keeps many of us coming back time and time again. Please keep it for its full length, I fear you would come to regret any other decision.

It is criminal to even consider scrapping either part or all of this iconic tramway. You should be MARKETING it, and not considering cutting it back from the sea terminal. I remember how impressed I was when I came to Douglas and saw the horse tracks coming into the terminal, and thought how forward thinking you were in the IOM for daring to do such a thing. Come on! Do the right thing and invest in the Horse Tramway. You should be ashamed to even consider scrapping all or even part of it.

The tram will survive if it is part of a comprehensive transport strategy. Terminating it half way is as brain dead an idea as stopping the TT at Ramsey and making the riders turn back along the same track. It is short sighted cultural vandalism to lose this tram service which is unique and contributes to Manx uniqueness. The politicians must have truly surprised themselves on a scale of stupidity performance this time. If we need to save money, why on earth do we employ so many MHK's to do the work of one Uk MP???? Get rid of the politicians. Just think how much we would save on pensions.

Douglas Horse Trams should be retained the FULL length of the promenade. The Isle of Man would not be the same without them.

The horse tramway is unique - the last remaining horse-drawn passenger tramway in the World, complete with its original 1877 stables and 1896 tramcar depot.
It is a key part of our Island's heritage and the entire track should be retained.
