I object to the truncating of the Horse Tramway but not to the provisioning of new stables which must be for the benefit of staff and horses

The tram must stay ,as a visitor it would not be the same with an empty prom and no clip clopping .I love them ,and I always use them .

In any other country something like this that has survived 140 years would be considered of national importance. Please isle of man stop destroying your heritage. Once it's gone the island will be as bland as most of England now is

The Horse trams are an essential part of the railways history of the Island. They Should be funded by Central Government as they benefit the whole Island! Many people, me amongst them, would say that it was a great error of judgement to close the western railway and sell the tracks for a pittanceTo close Douglas Horse trams and sell the property would be a disaster which would be deeply
regretted in the future!

A shortened horse tramway will have even fewer users and be a downward spiral.

it must remain as an integrated and complete system as at present, an iconic and integral part of Douglas and the islands unique heritage, this is a holiday island not a major motorway

Why not have a single track running the length of the prom with passing places?
The original stables should be kept as a museum feature !

The Manx Horse Tramway is unique and should be kept open in its entirety including the stables. Truncating it will reduce its appeal to holiday makers.

I've visited the IoM almost every year since 1961. If this tramway is lost, I will never come again. It should be classified as a World Heritage Site.

We should be looking after and promoting our heritage not destroying it, which is what these proposals really mean.
