It's just a useful tool - D&D needs web-accessible useful tools like this to exist in the electronic space, and removing it hurts the users. Please bring it back.

3.5 is an old system... why do you avoid us to play a game you no longer support... games from the same era went freeware...

This wouldn't be the first time Wizards has back-stabbed me, buying up and shutting down Heroscape, a magnificent quality game as well. I must say they are certianly lucky that they own such amazing properties as D&D and Magic: The Gathering, because I just wish I could stop giving them my business for this betrayal.

This was a wonderful resource, that repeatedly directed me to source books of WotC that I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT! If you can't be bothered to produce such a product yourself, then let the fans do it!

DnDtools was one of the things that got me into DnD. It is the single best tool I have ever seen. Please let it stay.

As a purchaser and user of many WotC books, from 2e up to 3.5e, and in many settings, I can verify that a resource like DnDTools is invaluable in sorting and cross-referencing the various feats, spells, classes, etc. I think WotC and Hasbro are rather short-sightedly issuing this Cease and Desist. I would gladly pay for a tool this comprehensive. WotC and Hasbro could easily offer to buy or profit from the continued existence of DnDTools rather than shut it down completely. Who wants to ferry a hand truck full of books to their friend's house every weekend in the off-chance they'll need to look up a spell description? Use your brains instead of your legal department, Hasbro/WotC.

This I feel comes at a bad time for WOTC and its handling of the D&D brand, and its relations to the gaming community that supports it. This action follows the recent publishing of the 5 edition of the game. The edition of the game that is aimed at reconciling differences within the community, and restoring integrity to the brand . The game goes to great lengths to maintain the narrative is part of a much larger tradition and lore. The designers and creative people who put that together did a great job. Now the legal department at WOTC seems to be endangering all that supreme effort and dedication . They damaging the brand and the game. This site`s purpose was toprovide support to what is essentially a dead edition of the game. The edition which is no longer prpfitable, the edition that is out of date. This cease and desist order qdoesn

It's better for WotC business if they allow this site to continue. Most of their customers used this site and played more DnD and bought more official content for having DnD Tools.

I don't mind them shutting down a service that distributes for free what is supposed to be paid for, but they do not provide an equivalent service. Give me the option to buy from them an identical tool which only contains data from sourcebooks I've bought and I'll buy that instead.
