Aghhhh! don't get me started!! That pool and the oasis it provides for kids and moms (of all the dads that are GOLFING), should be the grandest project we have! Without a place for the moms and kids to go, they wouldn't have any golfers... My kids say they absolutely need a diving board!! They are at the age that uses them the most and I just don't know what all those kids will do without a board. Slides are for 4-8 year olds... It is an annual tradition that the whole club enjoys to have diving contests at 4th of July. Even my GOLFING husband thinks they are important. The kids will just want to go somewhere else. The teens and 5-10 use them a TON! I think it would be a big POO POO on Colonial if we can't handle a dive board. We can have thousands of drunk people on our property in May and all the liability that goes with it, but not a diving board? Shady oaks has that "teen room" that is a big attraction for teens and preteens but all we've been able to come up with in the past is a ping pong table in the yoga room next to the mats ... Anyway, heck yes I am available to meet, to make sure a bunch of golf minded stuffed shirts don't put Colonials reputation in danger because they don't want to invest in families. "If Mamma's ain't happy, Daddies won't get to go to the golf course for the day"!

Diving Boards are a necessity for a country club pool. I believe they are the #1 attraction for all ages from elementary school aged children to high school to adults. I agree that it will make Colonial pool seem inferior to all other country clubs around, especially Rivercrest.

I can't dive, but my two girls can after their time spent on the Colonial diving team. Every end of the swim season (as an added bonus) all the Mom's dive to show off for the kids. We will loose these fun traditions! All of the other Clubs have diving boards. The diving boards add an element of fun and entertaiment for our pool. Members of all ages line-up to jump and try their diving tricks. These memories are so important. I hope you will consider keeping our diving area.

Keep the high dive. That's what insurance is for.
