I do not feel this facility should be located in the Downtown SSMID District. I felt the original location was OK. I can’t imagine what senior will want to live in Park Towers and what working class individual will want to live in our Roosevelt housing. The Downtown has been working hard to improve the appearance and safety of the area. The proposed facility will not improve the Downtown’s image or safety in the eyes of people visiting the area.

Why don't you build it on Main St. , down by the river. No one uses that land, and it's not near any child care building.

The hypocrisy and asininery is ridiculous! Clinton wants to attract new businesses, revitalize the downtown, grow our tax base, so we do it by inviting homeless? This will just increase the number of homeless because of the lack of rules or any responsibility. As soon as word of mouth gets out, the influx will start. And what about, not only the obvious of the elderly and children in the vicinity, the new businesses and upscale apartments located in the downtown? Who would want to rent or do business when there is a homeless building? Has anyone considered the downtown businesses? How do you revitalize when no one wants to come? And who is going to maintain when the funds are spent? There are plenty of vacant buildings that could be considered. In other words, Clinton residents, your safety and welfare play second fiddle to people who have no interest in our city, except for the free ride.

It’s a very nice green space. Other places for shelter can be used.

We already have a problem in that area! Why would we cause more? And why would we build next to a children’s center and in a park?

1-Before selling any city property for housing projects, the authorities in Clinton should be educated on the difference between affordable housing and low income housing.
2-the safety of the seniors living on the premises should be paramount.

I know we do have a need for this property to be built , but this is not the proper location for such a place. The old Lyons middle school or the LaFayette Apartments are both more suited for a project like this.

We need green space in town! Too much gets torn down, excavated and/or left in ruin. We need to use what exists, not ruin green space.

To build a brand new building, destroying a park with beautiful trees for the elderly so that a bunch of drug users and pedophiles is outrageous and disgraceful. Use that money for something better. It's not going to help them become successful it's would just be a place where they will continue to use and take advantage.

We should not be removing parks, this potential housing project could go in many places… maybe where the buildings were torn down across from hyvee.
Clinton needs this but not at this location!
Absolutely not!!!!
