Sir,
The decision to hurriedly and undemocratically push through the 4 year undergraduate course in Delhi University from July 2013 is not only going to adversely affect the careers of lakhs of students, but would pave the way for further fee hikes, privatization and commodification and dilute the comprehensive character of education. Such major changes in the nationally accepted 10+2+3 system should not be allowed without wider debate and discussion. What is at stake isn’t merely higher education, but also the future of this Country. Given the urgency of the situation, we, the undersigned urge you to immediately intervene in the matter and ensure that it is stopped.

दिल्ली विश्वविधालय में जुलाई 2013 से 4 साल के ग्रेजुएशन कोर्स को जल्दबाजी और अलोकतांत्रिक ढंग से लागू करने के फैसले से लाखों विद्यार्थियों के कैरियर पर बुरा असर होगा। यह न केवल विश्वविधालय में फीस वृद्धि, निजीकरण और शिक्षा के व्यापारीकरण को तेज करेगा, बलिक शिक्षा की समग्रता को भी नष्ट कर देगा। देशव्यापी मान्य उच्च शिक्षा के 10+2+3 के ढाँचे में ऐसे आमूलचूल बदलावों को व्यापक बहस किए बिना लागू नहीं किया जा सकता है । इस कदम से न केवल उच्च शिक्षा बलिक देश का भविष्य ही दांव पर है । स्थिति की गम्भीरता को देखते हुए हम आपसे इस मामले में तुरंत हस्तक्षेप करने की अपील करते हैं, ताकि इस फैसले को रद्द किया जा सके।

Keep politics out of education. We need better resources not changes that ruin the system.
SAVE DU!! its the heart of delhi and we wont let it be ruined.
DU is an emotion for so many of us. Please dont destroy the legacy of our university for cheap politics.
DU is the dream of every indian student. Dont let it fall.
Too many changes happening too fast just to look good. Think about the students for once!

Stop messing with our future. We worked hard to get in here and we deserve better management.
