Raising short-term finances by long-term destruction is one of mankind's flaws: hopefully not a fatal one. Surely we have learned by making this kind of mistake in other places: let's not do it again.

we need to preserve what Cultus Lake is now...not in the future...leave it alone...there is plenty of homes and businesses there now to support what they need...don't cut down anymore of the forest!

First and foremost, it is a Park. It is not just for the 650 residents, but for the millions who visit. Would anyone even consider developing housing around Lost Lagoon in Stanley Park in order to cover costs. A Park is a jewel meant to be preserved for us and our future generations. Don't let the notion that funding can only be obtained by selling off and developing Park lands. Remember when it is gone--it is gone forever. Please encourage like minded individuals to add their voice to this petition

We were never given the option for less development..Cultus Park has already been scarred by unneeded commercialization.. Reverse the damage. Be progressive and preserve the park for the future .

I think cutting down the forest at cultus for money is terrible. It will destroy so many habitats and risk a giant decrease in local species.

This is such short sighted thinking by the parks board. Once it's gone, it's gone, then what are you going to destroy?
