It's sad and unnecessary to cut down where most of us spend our summers

I own a home at Cultus and I am aghast to learn of this blatant disregard for stewardship of the park, disregard for the protection of our community values and perverse understanding of what economic progress means to a place like Cultus Lake Park. When will elected representatives start actually representing their population? The criminalist individuals orchestrating this financual rape are obviously far removed from the community in terms of our morals and ethics. I would love to learn who these people are precisely and where they live.

This is our park they should not cut it down.

I got the chance to visit Cultus and it would be shame to ruin such a perfect little place with a bunch of development. I would never go to Cultus again if this goes through.

Enough is enough. It,s not just the trees that suffer from construction.

I can't believe how common it is for voters/residence to be ignored municipally, and with 79% opting for no change in status quo, or no, we need to protect that process. Furthermore, this land is known as by many across the fraser valley and loved for exactly what it is. Lets stop destroying the things that work as they are, in some arbitrary attempt to make it "better".

We need to remove this parks board or regulate their ability to pass such plans. Cultus lake park generates enough income as is and the parks board does nothing to preserve this beautiful lake.

My family has lived at/near Cultus Lake for close to 100 years and the beauty of its trails and forest should be preserved

What a silly contrived bunch of nonsense is being fed to residents of Cultus Lake. Don't be brainwashed. Keep development out. We all know how things get SOLD OUT to the highest bidder!!

As someone who lived in Chilliwack and visits my family that lives there, I say no to the new developments. Why do you think people love to flock to Cultus Lake? Not because it's paved.

Wow no way, what a beautiful place

I am absolutely against the current Cultus Lake Park Draft Plan. Within that 100 page report, Cultus Lake Park is referred to as an area of aging demographics. That might have been factual some years ago but many homes have recently sold to younger people bringing their families into the area. The Cultus Lake School cannot accept all the local children right now, so where would the children from future developments go to school. Huge numbers of development homes have been approved, or are in final stages of approvals, for many areas just outside the Cultus Lake Park boundaries and those new developments are bound to impact current infrastructure. Cultus Park Board does not need to add to that existing problem. The Provincial Government controls many undeveloped acres adjacent to this small lake, yet we have heard nothing about development plans for those larger pristine areas and I hope we don’t. Cultus Lake Park has a VERY LIMITED number of acres not already developed. All remaining undeveloped areas of Cultus Lake Park need to remain parkland. This petition, along with the hand written ones, have huge support from those within Cultus Lake Park and areas adjoining it. I encourage anyone else to sign it now if you want to show this governing body that the people of BC say no to more to development in our Parks.

We have to choose to live amongst natures most beautiful places, not tarnish and sell them for profit.

Don't destroy parkland.
