Every weekend we are at Cultus a favourite activity of our children is to walk or bike through the trees and trails that border the golf course. Each time we do, we cross the paths of no less than 30 other people connecting with nature and getting exercise. This is valuable, accessible public land that needs to be preserved.

I am not in favour of losing more parkland to housing or commercial development. The latest addition to the Adventure Park was a shock and was done without consultation. More parkland was sacrificed for the expansion of this commercial enterprise. The Market In the Park was displaced to a less advantageous site to the detriment of the merchants. Once parkland is lost, it cannot be regained.

I support giving opportunities to the community and businesses for sustained growth. I am opposed to destruction of the "outdoor camping and recreational feel"of the area by removing large sections of the forest etc.. for a hotel and condos.

On a busy Saturday in the summer, there is no point in even going on your boat after 8AM, it's dangerously busy. Don't ruin Cultas by expanding, find other ways to generate revenue, think outside the box!

Lifetime summer resident of Cultus Lake. We don't need development to solve financial issues. We need community involvement, and creative solutions.
