Have seen first hand how children have benefited from this facility. If you ask me far more are needed as the demand is very high for this very specialised unit. Not enough children are able to get the benefit.

I am worried to see yet another facility being taken away from children who need extra assistance in their education being cut to save money. Surely our children's education is of prime importance to ensure the best for them now and in the future. I find it sad that cuts are bring made yet again in the education sector for young vulnerable people who require extra assistance. Mainstream teachers have enough to deal with increasing class sizes and boxes to tick in paperwork let alone trying to give extra help to children who suffer from dyslexia or other learning difficulties.

Why would they want to do this to children who clearly need the help for their future. Disgraceful !

If it wasn't for Kellands my daughter wouldn't be like what she is today. Mrs Traill her teacher was brilliant.

I offer my support in keeping these units open, to close them would be a backward step in supporting our future generations. I don't believe that our schools which are already stretched are able to offer this specialist support to these children.

Excellent resource that won't be replicated in schools so why try? This should be about the children not pound signs.

A very much needed resource. I have professional and personal experience of Kellands in Inverurie. The loss would be catastrophic.
