So important that this place is allowed to continue. Makes such a difference to pupils who need a little extra support!!

Full inclusion excludes children who clearly need specialist individual support from accessing the curriculum and this is therefore --NOT "Getting It Right For Every Child"

i think it's ridiculous trying to close such valuable organisations as people do not realise that these children all need more help.

These units are absolutely imperative for young people in the North East. I know many people who were supported by the work done there and, without the unit, would not have had the successful careers they are now enjoying.

Two of my three sons attended one of these units and if it wasn't for these units I dread to think how they would of cope with high school education.

My daughter has dyslexia, she is now going into 3rd year and having major difficulties in her learning which have now turned to panic attacks, migraines and feeling sick constantly. If these schools were closed more and more kids will be like my daughter, she never got the chance to attend these schools, but I am positive if she had, things might not be as bad as they are now! More kids are dyslexic than ever before and in mainstream school they are made to feel ashamed and stupid within their classmates. More help is needed for these kids not less!! Mainstream just causes more stress as dyslexic kids need more time to complete their work which is not available in normal class! And to be put in schools for special needs is even worse to their emotional state! I am now considering homeschool for my daughter!!

These units need to stay open as they help so many children. These units give children the tools they need to better themselves, wether it be academically or sociably. If these units close you will be doing a great disservise to the children of the area!

I visited Kellands this year and was very impressed with the language and dyslexia units. I hope they are kept open.
