Our kids need support through units like kellands and Crimond We've had all the best support from our school and renowned specialists only through the unit has our son had the ability to catch up with his peers.

Please do not close these units these are needed to support and help our children they are a valuable source for our children's education our children deserve these units as what they learn in these units cannot be taught in main stream these units are a vital source of education and help for not just our children but also helps the families have a better understanding a disgrace to even consider it closing.

Without such units, kids with severe dyslexia can really struggle with school, resulting in significant life long self esteem issues and difficulty reaching their full potential in life. This action will be devastating for so many local families and our future generations!

Our children need the support of units like Kellands and Crimond, the current proposal will assist many dyslexics who need basic help unfortunately it does nothing to address the one in 30 at the more extreme end of the spectrum who need more detailed support to get them through to the stage where they can not only read and write but excel.

These children need to be given a chance. In a class of 30 they just get lost in the back ground. Teachers don't have the time or support to deal with everything they are only human. Online tools are of limited us and aspects is of no use if your sons voice hasn't broke remember these units are for primary school kids.

I think this is important to both the pupils who require the support (the improvement in their work is amazing with the correct support) and pupils in main line school adding more children will just add more pressure to the teachers that are struggling to cope due to lack of staff.

My daughter attended Kellands unit for 2yrs and she got so much help there. It's devastating to think others might lose out of these units are closed down.
