Very good luck at the High Court today, 3 November. Take it there was no joy in getting the estate listed, spot-lusted or granted Asset of Community Value (ACV) status?

The councillors give an abject lesson in how not to deal with estate communities. Seems they don't care what happens to the residents, they are an impediment.

I came to see this lovely estate during Open House and was really impressed by its innovative design and the people who live there and were campaigning to keep it. Lambeth give plenty of lip service to "building & involving communities" - this is a REAL community, which will be destroyed if they get their way. How can they justify demolition of an estate less than 40 years old? It should have listed building status.

As a repair officer. .Cressingham. Gardens is a low-rise. low. maintenance estate,.and is in need for social housing. not profit..

Absolutely disgraceful what is happening to these properties. It shows that when they were first being built a total lack of respect for the councils funds as they allowed such bad workmanship to be carried out, if it is indeed true that these properties are in a bad state of repair. The council should be made accountable and to bring these properties up to the standard they should be and not to demolish them for financial gain.
