No demolition of functioning council estates! Stop the private profiteers!

This is criminal! Respect humanity of these individuals, home is sanctuary, especially to the elderly, this is a great community. This is injustice, against the basic human rights of residents. All in the name of PROFIT!! I've witnessed this happen too many times. Where appeals were lodged against Lambeth. Where appeals were upheld, but still work went ahead (sadly) after the homes were demolished. The BUILDING work never began!!! It's still a heap of rubble & waste ground !!!
5 years on!! (It's called land banking!) nobody's home, or life, or peace of mind should be undermined or STOLEN & USED as COLATORAL damage by property developers & LAMBETH !!

I think this is a disgraceful move, solely motivated by financial gain. Particularly as people who own their properties are being offered so little for their properties that they would have to move far away from the area and even then not ever be able to home themselves to the same standard they currently have. The destruction of a positive, close community that cannot be replaced is unforgiveable.

I lived in Cressingham Gardens for years. It is a beautiful place. It is an outrage to propose to demolish it.

Stop this act of vandalism by a local council. Cressingham Gardens is a good example of low-rise building that shows it can house just as many people as in a high-rise tower.

What a shame this example of low-rise buildings with their lovely mature landscaping is being threatened with, no doubt, a dull faceless modern block that will be inhabited by absentee owners.

I was devastated to hear that Lambeth Council is considering demolition of Cressingham Gardens. My father , Ted Hollamby would have been delighted at the recent success at the High Court.
