Lambeth allow estates to run down, say it's too expensive to repair and then sell the land to provide developers........ time & time again
Look up "common purpose" if you want to understand why nothing works today

This well located but poorly maintained estate ought to be refurbished and the residents future secured by dealing with the poor quality windows and the zinc roofs some of which have blown off in strong winds.
This pattern which is to be seen all over London as regarding council tenants as the line of least resistance ought to be stopped in its tracks and this attractive estate remain in place.

This estate is a fantastic example of how well designed architecture can create strong communities - Lambeth has already sacrificed other such estates for poor quality contemporary replacements, to do this again at Cressingham will be a huge mistake and soon regretted.

No NO NO!!!!! Listen to the Cressingham community. Put people before profit. This is not how a co-operative council works!

These people live here. This is their lives and their homes. They don’t want this. The fact they have banded together to make this petition shows the strength of feeling. Who are you to decide how they should or shouldn’t live?

Lambeth please reconsider - communities take a long time to build and shouldnt be destroyed at the whim of a short sighted housing department Homes and people before profit.

Uprooting people who have lived in a special area such as Cressingham Gardens for many years and destroying their community is not what localism is about. Local people's views are paramount in deciding the future of their environment.

Spare a thought for the community.
This would be awful for them.

It would be a disastrous to evict a whole community settled in imaginative and sympathetic homes. Spend the proposed demolition money on getting all properties re-furbished and occupied, a much better use of resources, and the integrity of the estate would be intact.

It's always a delight to visit Cressingham Gardens. It must be one of the best-designed estates in south London and one of the most welcoming, a place of good vibes.

It would be a real travesty to demolish this estate so that developers can make vast sums of money. These houses have been people's homes for up to 40 yrs and Lambeth has nowhere to rehouse those displaced by any sale. It was a fabulous and safe place to grow up in inner London. Review those parts of the estate where properties have been empty and do the repairs necessary. Let every one have a good quality of life.

I grew up on this estate and my mother still lives there. It is a great place with a good community spirit. It would be a tragedy if it was demolished
