Architecturally and in terms of community, Cressingham Gardens is a special place. Put the effort in to bring the extant buildings up to scratch rather than tearing down and starting again.

Wonderful community, great people and fabulously well designed, sustainable housing model. Shame on Lambeth for (as usual) allowing it to run down, so that they can try to justify bulldozing it. This is bad estate management and ignorance based on their part. The Green Party in Lambeth will champion your fight to keep your wonderful homes (several of which we actually viewed inside today-want to live there myself!). We'll be back on Monday for another interview and am willing to come when invited to discuss next steps in your campaign.

This morning I had an eye opening tour of this wonderful estate which is an architectural gem and needs to be protected - not bulldozed. The outstanding community spirit needs to be sustained and used as a model for others - not destroyed!

Shameful what the council are doing. Another form of gentrification and pricing out the locals who have made Brixton their home. It is just created for RICH folk who likes Brixton now as it has become trendy...

Cressingham Gardens is clearly a model for social housing. It needs renovating not demolishing. I urge Lambeth council to listen to the voices of the residents and to avoid any regeneration plan that will impact negatively on current tenants and leaseholders. Put people first.

A secondary school was demolished by park for private housing already nearby.
This demolition is another example of social housing being reduced to make way for more private housing. This view and park should be protected for the benefit of all as it is in my opinion one of the best views in Brixton. We need this in an already overdeveloped area where overcrowding is a concern.Where will the council develop next they are running out of spaces. Is there not another part of Lambeth which can be developed for raising cash for the council?????

I am against the demolition and rebuilding of Cressingham Gadens, I feel it is unfair on the residents who have been living there a long time.

This is not fair on the hard working residents. You are destroying Communities.
