why should they have to move just because it's come up for housing. Save the allotments not keep moving them!

To build houses on an allotment that has been worked, nurtured and loved by someone for many years, is nothing short of criminal. An allotment is far more than just a place to grow plants; it also is a space for people to connect with nature, the earth and each other. The threat to allotments from being gobbled up for housing is very disturbing.Allotments play an important social and environmental role. More and more groups are getting involved and they contribute not only to the physical but also the mental health of those involved, and those who may become involved in the future. They are also crucial greenspace for our heavily threatened wildlife. Maybe we need a birth control policy rather than a land grab policy.

It's an absolute disgrace. The allotment is officially the best habitat for our Bee colonies and other wildlife not to mention its actually good for peoples health..surely there are other spots that can be used for building and leave these allotments as they are
