We have allotment and my daughter's 2 and 4 years old they love spending time fresh air specialy they start eating fruit which was impossible bought from supermarkets and at home happy see them collect it from fruits trees and also wildlife my older she was sceard of anything now is completely different please save our allotments for our generation and our kids

Once it's gone it's gone forever. Homes for a few or forever a green space to nurture, educate, sustain and to support wildlife

As an allotment holder in Essex I can understand how appalled and upset the allotment holders in Sussex are. The time and money spent on a plot means that relocation is not an option as it means beginning all over again. Those of us who have had a plot for years and are getting older couldn't cope. As stated too, the plot needs to be close to your home. An allotment site is more than just a series of plots , it is a community, a place of peace and quiet from todays hectic world. Do not ruin these peoples lives!!!

This is one of the most beautiful areas of Brighton. It would be a tragedy to lose the allotments and the wildlife and birds that live there.

Although people need affordable decent housing they also need greenspace and healthy activity and good food. Allotments are communities of and in their own right. Successful communities of people working together should be respected and saved. Too many developers and planners focus on cost to the detriment of value.

Ovingdean is also under threat as are many green sites in the city, Urban spawl is not the answer to our housing shortage.. Leave our green spaces alone . More creative thinking is needed.

This is setting a dangerous precedent for further development on Whitehawk Hill and other greenfield sites.Also, Whitehawk Hill is mainly an LNR so, I cannot see where you could relocate the plots to?
