I grew up hiking on Cougar Mountain. This is a treasured area that must be protected for future generations to enjoy.

Cougar Mountain green space was an important part of my childhood and my education in the natural world. It's a vital greenway for wild animal populations, and is part of what adds value to the surrounding area. Please protect this land from development.

This greenbelt area is essential to the environmental health of Washington. Deforestation for building and profit has severely affected our planet's ability to support human life. Saving old growth makes a huge positive impact.

I hike and walk here. Wild areas like Cougar Mountain are literally irreplaceable. We need to mske them public, and protect them.

Cougar Mountain is a gem and creates enormous value for everyone within 20 miles of it. It means being able to get lost in nature without driving two hours east or west. Nature should be an accessible part of peoples' lives, not something they can only manage to do a couple of times a year when they finally have time to make the journey. There are lots of places to infill housing. We don't have a lot of forests. Protect what we have!

Spaces like Cougar Mountain are an essential part of what makes Western Washington unique, and what draws so many people here in the first place. Please do the right thing and protect this special and important place.

I use Couger Mountain trails multiple times a week and would love it if the entire area was kept telling way it is. The more people that move here the more crowded and rare places like this will become. Urbanizing parts of Couger mountain sure seems like short term thinking!

Please save this beautiful natural area.

Please save this beautiful area from development by purchasing the land. As population grows, now more than ever we need to preserve our precious natural resources not exploit them for pure greed. Stop greedy developers from destroying critical areas in the name of helping the City. If housing developers really want to help, there are so many ugly areas downtown Issaquah that could be demolished and rebuild instead. Allowing the construction of 57 houses in this critical area will cause irreparable harm to the environment. Why do we have to use every inch of land for profits?

Save nature!

I grew up here and so did my mom - Cougar Mountain is my home! Stop the pointless development (there are already so many vacancies in existing neighborhoods) and save what really matters and makes Issaquah unique.

This open air wilderness space needs to be preserved for the benefit of generations to come. There are spaces for multi family, economically priced and convenient spaces besides the regional park area.

Cougar Mountain is a jewel in the region and needs to be protected from development pressures.

We need to preserve as much as possible our lovely nature around Issaquah and the Puget Sound!

The rate of development is reducing the quality of life for the fortunate residents of these areas. If these forests are destroyed, then the essence of what makes these places great to live dies with it.

This is one of my favorite local hiking haunts. The attempt to develop this area, changing the character and affecting the intent of current protection status is shameful.

We need trees and native landscape to get a sense of tranquility.

Dear Sirs, I sure am not in favor of them animals loosing their habitat, being later they will put people lives at risk.
