The city of Issaquah previously allowed slow development so the history and feel of the city was left intact. It is now a city that allows for the distruction of what made it special for money.

Habitat conservation is critical to maintaining biodiversity. And the cost of repairing a damaged ecosystem is so much higher than the cost of preserving a natural ecosystem. Cougar Mt. is precious land and we must protect it.

We need land free of housing and development so humans can connect with nature.

Even if I never set foot on the Cougar Mountain hillside, I will defend the rights of those who do, now and in the future. The "highest and best use" of land is NOT impermeable surfaces surrounded by houses and commercial development.

I've seen black bear on a Cougar Mtn hike. It is a precious wildlife habitat.

Let's draw the line here. There are lots of much easier and better places to put new housing developments.

Please preserve and protect Cougar Mountain and do not clear cut forested hillsides.

Cougar Mountain must be protected. Issaquah has been in a building boom for some time and we need to preserve green space.

We must chose long-term preservation over short-term profits!!

This land is hiked on everyday, rain or shine. Healthier people leads to a healthier city. Please acquire this land!

For the reasons that many have argued : not consistent with Issaquah development plan, scarring of a visible part of Cougar Mtn, tax payer covered high risk, landslide prone development.
