We need to support young children , not close nurseries

This nursery is important to the community it would be such a loss if it is to close

I am signing in support for rural schools fluctuations to be acknowledged catered for, plus a friend's child is attending this nursery.

Sustainability must be at the forefront of all our lives

How can you possibly just take away a child's nursery place leaving them late in the year with no place to go - young children take a lot of time to adjust and this one is walkable from the child's home. Better for them and better for the environment.

We need to keep rural nursery & schools open, they are much better for the children than busy town schools.

Angus council continuously pledges to support its rural communities in collaboration with Angus Rural Partnership. Closing a rural nursery based on one terms intake would be a disappointing decision and goes against Angus councils pledge to support rural communities. This decision if it goes ahead has potential to impact the community long term. Child care and schooling is important for all communities especially rural ones. This could negatively impact young families and couples decision to move into the area. Regeneration in rural communities is a vital part of Angus councils work and I sign this petition in the hope they will reassess the plan to close the nursery and keep it open for the future of the area.

Stop centralising everything ….. it doesn’t work. Money was supposed to be used on education and it wasn’t so make sure it is used to keep this Invaluable service open.

This would be a huge loss to the area.

Some consideration should be taken to consider the individual needs of the children and families. Many of these families live rurally because the smaller social situations work for them. Integrated play with current P1 and 2 and close working with the school could combat “overadulting”

Small school rolls fluctuate quickly and a small settings can be beneficial for children within and outwith their catchment. This decision should be carefully considered. There should be a case by case basis for temporary closure instead of council wide policy.

Was of a great benefit to my grandchildren. Really important first step into education.

My three all went to the nursery and then on to the school, it created a fantastic safe environment for learning and development

Rural nurseries are integral to the communities

Rural settings provide unique opportunities for children to develop and learn. It would be sad to see this lovely setting close and the children relocated.

My daughter attended the nursery and now attends the school. Its a fantastic nursery and provides a much needed option to rural families.
