We lost it in Colorado after 6 years of fighting them off., but the new Democratic legislature and Governor made it the first bill to pass last year with little advance notice.

This is a direct assault on all Italian Americans.
My husband's family helped build Norwich, CT.
We take this as an insult to our heritage.
In your attempt at political correctness you disgrace yourselves!

Columbus Dy never should be changed. This nonsense of renaming holidays because of some people's unjustified anger is really disgraceful! Keep Columbus Day as Columbus Day in Norwich , as well as all across America. It is prt of our history, and that should not ever be changed!God Bless America, today and always, the best darn country \in the entire world!

Columbus was a true explorer. One cannot compare the life style in 15th century to 21st century. He should be honored his achievements considering the circumstances.

This nonsense has to stop!
Italians and many others don’t want history erased! Shame on this who are looking to destroy our country.
If another holiday needs to be added, there are 365 days to choose from.
Leave Columbus Day alone so Italians can have something to look forward to!! Remember, Italian immigrants brought to this country many talents which helped build it as we know it today!!!

Please keep Columbus Day and consider another day for Indigenous Peoples' Day. Both are deserving of special honor. Christopher Columbus was a friend to the natives. Please take time to educate yourselves on his history and legacy. Stop following the lead of groups that are trying to tarnish Columbus' image. You are the Board of "Education". Educate yourselves, please!

Columbus was actually an advocate for the indigenous peoples how about combining the two in one the same holiday? There's no need to celebrate one at the expense of the other.
