The program means a lot to each of us, and SFC Gantt and COL Alvarado have been extremely influential people to the program. They truly care about the overall well-being of each and every cadet, and not just our academic success. They have supported me both inside and outside of the program, which shows the dedication that these instructors have to their cadets, and the fact that they do far more than their obligatory duties as instructors. They are not only our instructors, but also our mentors, cheerleaders, and role models. I am honored to call them my instructors, and their sacrifices to our program will not go unnoticed.

I graduated in 2014 and was in JROTC for all 4 years of high school and still very involved to this day. There is nothing that could happen in that school that should cost SFC and Colonel their jobs at the school. They have such a large impact on the students in the school wether they are in the program or not and by cutting them and JROTC out would be a huge mistake. It has saved me and many others from going down the wrong road and has turned things around. If any program deserves to be in that school it should be JROTC and Lenape should be honored to have it.

Sergeant Gantt does not deserve to be let go because of this. In my 3 years in jrotc, he's been nothing but a great role model for the cadets. He leads by example and is a great influence on everybody.

I was once a cadet and loved being in JROTC at Lenape. It really influenced me a lot and would hate to see anything happen to the program or to SFC Gantt. He was always there for his students as were all the instructors we had. They helped us through a lot of tough times and really helped to form us as adults.

SFC Henry Gantt is a great man with wonderful insight. He teaches from not only his knowledge and experience but from the heart. Col Alvarado means well and cares about his connection with other individuals.

As a former cadet of this program I know SGT Gantt, I have never met Col Alvarado since I graduated in 2014, and I know the actions of these cadets would not have been allowed to happen had either instructor known what was happening. Like another commenter said (and working in education for a few years I can agree) it is very hard to see what every single student is doing every single second of class. I also agree that it should be the cadets responsible punished not the whole program. By removing SGT and Col I firmly believe you a re robbing the students of an effective class experience. I know that, as a person, I would not be who I am today without Col sherrer and SGT Gantt's leadership. The way I lead, the way I try to conduct myself is all a byproduct of what I learned from them. I feel that the SAI and AI are extremely important to the education of the cadets and for them to have been removed disrupts the student's learning process and makes a sticky situation even harder. They have my support and I sincerely hope I see them back in the classroom soon.

My heart is very saddened by this entire situation. Punishments have been taken too far. As far as these fine gentlemen, they are American Heros in my book. They have dedicated their lives to all Americans, including you, me, and these young cadets. They have the ability and skills to educate these kids, so as they can change America's future. Lenape JROTC is a family unit, let them learn and heal together, with their highly capable leaders. Please don’t pass up the opportunity for Lenape High school Cadets, present and future, to have the experience, knowledge and wisdom these men can pass down.

I'm a recent graduate of Lenape High School who was not involved in the JROTC program. I was, however, very involved in the music department's Concert Choir. Sergeant Gantt once heard me sing the National Anthem at a school program and was so impressed that he asked me to sing at many JROTC events. My point here is that Sergeant Gantt was able to see potential in many students, not just his students in the JROTC. I miss the fatherly figure that Sgt. Gantt was to many Lenape students. The Lenape family would be missing a man of exceptional kindness & caring if it lost Sgt. Gantt
