I would encourage the administration to disclose the statistics they used to determine that the number of injuries incurred by rugby players is significantly higher than the rates of injury for the "high collision/impact" sports (football, lacrosse, hockey) that the school directly funds and openly endorses.

Rugby is a sport that embodies teamwork, support and camaraderie. As one of your players forner coaches, I can't imagine a barter sport to instill these values.

Ending rugby because of concussion concerns is a joke, ask anyone and they'll tell you cheerleading is the most dangerous sport for student athletes and yet I guarantee the cheerleading squad won't lose a dime. Sports have risks that the players are aware of when they sign the forms, let everyone play!

Getting rid of a Colby institution as important as the men's and women's rugby teams would be a huge mistake and deprive future generations of being part of the most welcoming, diverse, and loyal group at Colby. Despite how much I loved my time at Colby, I cannot support the school until it supports the men's and women's rugby programs.

I've seen too many instances of the College claiming it's too lean to support its students. Bring back rugby.

I strongly support the continuation of rugby as sport at Colby college. Please don't yank the rug out from under these young people that care deeply About this sport.
