This club taught Sam Kaplan the game of rugby and has turned him into a phenomenal coach and rugby mentor with the New York Rugby Club's High School Program. A college rugby program of this worth should not be cut given the good it does beyond the pitch and beyond the walls of Colby College.

Rugby is truly a team sport that incorporate a variety of skills and talents. It s excellent and building the leadership and teamwork skills necessary to succeed in the real world. It teaches students how to value the contributions of others and encourages a lifelong camaraderie.

I learned rugby in college at the Naval Academy and played for the University of Michigan and rugby was a game where I learned comradeship and made life long friends....Keep it at Colby!!

I played at UMaine for 4 years, Colby was a big rival and as much animosity as there was back then it would be a shame to see their club fold. the more rugby the better.
