Colby Rugby is important to a lot of students on campus. It fosters friendships and teamwork. Colby is a small school and any activities that bring so many students from different groups together in my view is something important and important to keep. Rugby is a popular sport at other schools and it would a shame for Colby to not be involved.

The involvement in any sport promotes education and good character building as well as sense of responsibility. The elimination of a sport that statistically shows no difference in injury rates suggests that the university is not properly informed not does the administration understand the sport they are attempting to abolish.

Rugby has been a big part of my college experience! I came to college looking to get in shape and try to meet friends. When I joined my rugby team it changed my life forever. I have many close friends that I plan to keep in touch with. If I did not play rugby i do not know who I would be. Don't take that away from them, thats just like canceling a football program.

Not sure how the decision was made, but why go after a club sport beloved by students when there are much more expensive varsity level sports that demand similar impact to the head. Will football stay around? What about lacrosse? Diving?

Rugby is what got me through college! I've been playing for 11 years now with very minimal (bumps and bruises now and then) injuries! Keep it alive!
