Rugby taught me much about life, other cultures, and team through the camaraderie of the fantastic sport! It should also be noted that if they're concerned about traumatic brain injury through sport then they should also be terminating football, soccer, field and ice hockey, lacrosse, and alpine skiing. I venture to guess this is hardly the case.

Rugby is a brotherhood. and is the fastest growing sport in America. and one of the most popular sports in the world. further more it is now an Olympic Sport. To say rugby is dangerous is not a valid argument because Football is more dangerous and has more injuries compared to rugby.

BOO HISS YOU STILL HAVE A FOOTBALL PROGRAM AND YOU ARE CANCELING RUGBY? I have grown so much as person through this sport. There are ways around 'financial issues,' but you can not deny that football is just as dangerous as rugby (some even argue that it is more dangerous-football has a higher number of concussions nationally, after all)

I began playing rugby at Springfield College having hardly ever heard of the sport before. I continue to play for a club team in NH and rugby is a massive part of my life on and off the pitch. Without my introduction to rugby at the collegiate level my life would be vastly different.

I am a student at Virginia Tech and a player on the Womens Rugby team. Because rugby is a tough sport, everyone involved takes safety very seriously. Please reconsider cutting hte rugby program since it is such an incredible sport that forms an incredible community
