Rugby has been such an incredible and positive experience in my life and it saddens me that the opportunity to be a part of a community that has helped me so much would be taken away from these young men and women.

Here's the thing - club rugby is often seen as just another club sport, but it is SO much more than that. The traditions and community run so deep, the athleticism and team unity required far outstride any other non-varsity campus sport. Honestly, a great help to this problem (which we have to a degree at my school too) would be if rugby eventually became a varsity sport in the states.

Everyone should have the opportunity to participate in one of the most incredible sports in the world. Rugby teaches strength, concussion safety, body positivity and a team comradarie that is rivaled only by the inclusive nature of the sport itself across the globe.

All sports are dangerous. Our rugby team does not have all of that medical stuff.. Rugby isn't that dangerous. AND, its our brains let us do what we want with them

I'm a rugby coach and former player. The discipline and lessons I and my players learn working as a team cannot be duplicated in a classroom and in my opinion far outweigh any risk the sport may have.
