He's a great coach. He helped me during my years at Smyrna. He has a big heart. Thanks coach for the time and effort you have me. I still use some of the lessons in everyday life 15 years later

He cares about every kid he coaches and he shows them a passion for excellence that is absolutely inspiring. The kids use that passion both on and off the field. He shows them that while it may just be a game it is THEIR game. I believe every kid he has coached is all the better for having him as an influence. Don't take that away from them.

Great Coach... He fights for these kids... We need to keep teachers with integrity! Coach Shad loves these kids and makes them show respect, honor, and teaches them to not give up...... FINISH IT! Coach.... We are here to help you Finish This!

Blackman Football was never good at all. As soon as Coach Shad arrived we became dominant. He's not only a great coach but a great father husband and mentor. I'm good friends with his daughters & have nothing but respect for the Shadowens family. This "Principal" needs to go back to Houston. Bring back Mrs. Vick #irritatedallumni
