I’m a former TPES student who had the delight of having class with coach Sergio. I was hoping to ask you to reconsider cutting his pay. Coach Sergio is one of the most wonderful people I met, and one of the most foundational pillars of TPES. His outgoing nature, kindness, and encouragement has inspired elementary schoolers like me for countless years. His P.E. class was the highlight of my week, every week, as I know it is for my brother who is currently at TPES and as I’m sure it is for most of the students there, and his class singlehandedly gave me my love of athletics and taught me the importance of physical health in a balanced life. Not only does he deserve his full pay and a raise, but the students deserve a loving coach who will do everything he can to uplift them and tap into their potential.

I was worked with Sergio at YMCA summer camp and he was so professional, fun and all the kids absolutely adored him. After 30 years of a career with TPES, it cannot end because of an administrative obstacle!

Coach Sergio is the embodiment of TPES. Without him, the soul of TPES dissipates. Coach Sergio has seen all three of my boys through TPES—their formidable years. His influence, energy, positivity, outlook, personable approach and genuine love for the kids and their physical health was and continues to be the most memorable and positive experience our kids receive at TPES. Removing Coach Sergio would be a mistake from which it would be impossible to recover for decades to come. Coach Sergio belongs at TPES and our kids deserve to keep him! Don’t make this mistake! KEEP COACH SERGIO!!!
