Jason is an amazing person that has made a difference at El Camino as the baseball coach. He should be there for many years to come to be a mentor, coach and friend.

It's a shame that high school sports have become so political that disgruntled parents can have enough clout to get an obviously loved and admired Coach, and human being, let go from his job. I know Jason through his playing ball with my brother and brother in law. He loved and respected the game as much as the players he played with. I have no doubt those qualities carried over into his coaching at El Camino. It would be heartbreaking for these young players to lose such a great role model. Shame on the administration.

I know Jason as a player, coach, and friend. As a mother, i know there are a lot of coaches out there that are not good human beings. Jason is NOT one of them. What a stand up human being. Would love for my children to have such an amazing coach as Coach Jason S. !!!

Taking away the livelihood of a person who has put in a tremendous amount of blood, sweat, and tears into a program only to allow the administration to fold under helicopter parent requests. Typical. Give the man his job back and tell the kid that only 1% make it pro. Grow up families, if your kid doesn't make the team try another sport he/she may excel. It will save you a lot of time and embarrassment.

Jason is about as good as they come! Not only one of the most knowledgeable baseball minds in the entire Southern CA high school coaching system, but he is a man of the highest integrity!
I would stand and support Jason Schmeizer any day of the week.
Losing him as a coach would hurt the many young men who need his leadership and coaching quideance in the sport of baseball, but also in their lives!
I am planning on sponsoring the Wildcat team this year, but NOT if Jason is not at the helm as head coach!
Thank you for saving his job as Head coach! Go Wildcats!

I think we all know which side of the fence this person is on. BEFORE it this was changed it stated "C Harrison", one of the parents leading the charge with the Wygant family. Yes, I will call you out on it. If you are going to lead the charge to remove Jason, have the balls to state your name and not try and hide behind ANONYMOUS!! Unfortunately for Jason, families like this exist in today's world, those that like to place blame on everyone but themselves. Take a look in the mirror Anonymous and stop blaming others for your problems. As for the Wygants, same old story with them, the kids are never at fault, always someone else to blame. The kid gets caught lying to the coach and they blame him for the dismissal. The kid lies about it an mommy and daddy and they run to the district to discipline the coach rather than their own kid. Oh, and yes, this is the same kid that was caught cheating on a test a week later. Hey Anonymous, you wanted negativity, there you go!

Having coached at El Camino for 9 years during the 90's in various capacities I know how tough that job can be. Jason has taken on the challenge and completely turned the program around. It would be a shame if he is no longer the head coach. Bring him back.

I have known Jason for 37 years and have always been impressed by his courtesy, respect, commitment and loyalty. He has been a great asset to the program at ECHS.

Although I had little interaction with Coach S, I saw the positive influence he had on my little brother and his fellow team mates. He pushed my brother to not only better himself as an athlete, but as a man as well. I believe Coach S enriches the experience for young athletes who participate in high school sports and deserves to return as Head Coach of El Camino's Baseball team.

Coach S has had a great influence on many young athletes! He teaches more than just getting a win! He is helping to train up young men who can make decisions for themselves! Is he hard on the boys? Maybe! Our boys are being taught more than just baseball! Please reinstate Coach S.

It's extremely disheartening hearing Coach Schmeiser has been removed based on a decision influenced by the vindictive minority. Having coached over 15 years of youth sports as well played for many coaches throughout my athletic career, I've seen nothing in Coach Schmeiser's tenure at EC to warrant his removal. Coach has proven he's not only passionate about the game, he's passionate about the player and the student, emphasizing both equally. To remove a coach such as Jason who is molding young players into upstanding young men is a travesty. Having had one son experience two wonderful years under Coach Schmeiser and another in his third year, we have nothing but praise for Jason's leadership and coaching abilities.

All of my and my family's interactions with Coach Schmeiser have been such a positive experience. He believes in what he is doing and has instilled a sense of pride in the El Camino baseball program. He focuses on mentoring and building young men above and beyond baseball. He has selflessly given a tremendous amount of his own time towards building the program. Keep Coach Schmeiser !!

Coach Schmeiser has been strong but firm with the players, he pushes them to get the most out of them which is reflected in the teams record since he has taken over the program. Keep Coach Schmeiser !!

I believe it is never too late to right a wrong. I have over 50 years of baseball experience...playing high school(CHS), junior college(Mira Costa), UC Irvine, 2 years of semi-pro baseball and coaching after that....number 1 in a coach is integrity and that is what coach Schmeiser has. Both our boys have played for coach throughout their El Camino careers and would love to see them finish with him! We believe he looks out for both their academic and athletic wellness equally. Thank you.
