Where is the integrity in firing someone with out an explanation? Sounds like a boss with a impaired character .. the community needs the district to lead with transparency.. after all this has everything todo with students..

From what I have read and heard on Coach Cochran, he is an upstanding individual and coach. Just because some athletes don't get to play as much as other athletes that is not a justifiable reason for their parents to demand his contract termination. Those parents are harming those particular athletes for years to come when they go to the real world.

Not renewing Bens Contract isn't a mistake for the football program, its a mistake for the kids that he impacts. This decision needs to be thoroughly reconsidered.

I met Ben when he was leading Rodgers football and was so impressed with the young men he was developing who came from very challenging home lives. So disappointed with this decision, Freeman's children lose.

I have coached with Ben for the past 3 years and strongly believe that this decision was not made in the best interest of the Freeman community. Ben is a phenomenal coach who truly cares about his athletes and instills valuable life lessons that go far beyond athletics.

Both of my boys have now been coached by Coach Cochran and staff. Our youngest is a Freshman this year who was very reluctant to play football. It is because of Coach Cochran and his staff and the values they teach our kids, outside of football, that he ended up loving it and had chose to play football next year! It’s not just about the “W”. These coaches truly care about our kids and not only teach them teamwork, on and off the field, but how to become MEN and core values to be used throughout life!
What is happening right now is unacceptable!!!
Us parents deserve to have our voices heard and an explanation from FSD for their actions!

My cousins, Jackson and Jordan Grover, adore Coach Cochran. He not only has served as a great coach to them, but also as a teacher, friend, and role model. I hope that justice is served and the truth of who he is, reigns.
