Ms. Clausen's prompt and image choice was challenging and free of bias. She does not deserve unemployment, she deserves to be celebrated as an educator.

Kudos to a bright educator who wants to get students engages in discussions! If faculty has to base their actions on whether someone gets offended or not, our children will be exposed to a very bland outlook on life!

The teacher is there to teach the kids to "think", just because a subject is controversial does not mean she agrees with it. She is giving them an opportunity to have their own opinions and a voice, on a current tension in the world. Good god, don't let them watch the news either!

I don't get why this is such a big deal she is just doing her job I am a totally on Ms. Clausen's side as a former student of hers she is always trying to help everyone of her students I back you Ms.Clausen. Stop this ridiculous stuff before you kill someone's lively hood.

parents really need to learn to relax and let their kids exspress what they think and let them open up their minds about things instead of babying them every step of their lives.

Hopefully at least some of the parents are swayed to see reason. This is exactly the sort of thing that should be a part of education and I find it ludicrous that Ms. Clausen's job is in danger because she did her job in a way that really made the students think (instead of spoon feeding them everything, which seems to be what these parents want).

This teacher has made so many talk about a subject that is difficult. We need to listen to the kids in the school and other schools and hear what they are talking about. They have very thought provoking comments and ideas about this subject. Do I like the picture, no. Do I want talk about it with my son and friends, yes because I have opinions about the subject matter. I don't know this teacher but I will say she is doing her job and I applaud her for stepping outside of the box.
And for the person/persons that went to the media to express you concerns instead of going and talking to the teacher/administration ... Shame on you!!!!

Ridiculous! It's insulting to me that so many in our community are so self centered and closed minded that they can't appreciate a teacher who encourages our children to think on their own.
