Tennis is way better than pickleball! But why take either away doesn't seem fair to replace a real sport w a pretend one.

Grew up playing on the city park tennis courts. With all of the school and city summer tennis programs these courts are needed. Please keep them and work out another solution for new pickle ball courts or at least continue the dual purpose agreement.

Tennis is a strong and successful sport in Valley City. Removing these courts would greatly affect the future of Tennis in Valley City.

City Park tennis courts have a long history that has served thousands of youth and adults over the years, and I feel they can still serve that purpose as well as pickleball. To make the decision without input from the VCTA and community at large was wrong.

Jr High activities have been and always will be a major focus of mine. Jr high tennis will be affected negatively by this decision. We, as a community, need to provide facilities for all of our citizens, but our children come first….They have no voice, so we must speak for them.
Build new courts and then repurpose the City Park courts..

Tennis courts would serve the schools and community more than pickle ball courts. Valley City currently has a very strong tennis program and part of that is due to the support it’s received from the community

As a tennis coach in Fargo for the past 12 years, I have seen how amazing the tennis community is in Valley City when we play there, and how much the kids love tennis. It would be devastating to the tennis programs and the ability for the community to participate in this lifelong sport in Valley City if the city park tennis courts are taken away.

As a parent that has 3 children in the school tennis program, I know it is necessary to keep the City Park courts. The school tennis program hass very strong numbers in both boys and girls tennis, and by losing these courts it would be very hard to get enough practice time for the kids. If we want to see the kids keep improving and excelling in tennis, we need to keep these courts.

My daughter will be directly affected by this as she is moving into Jr Tennis. This is a terrible decision by those who voted for it on the board. They are not representing what is in the best interests for this town.
