Save City Park Tennis Courts

No reason these courts can’t be maintained for dual purpose.

Please keep the tennis courts at City Park. Tennis is important to our community.

I have many great memories of youth tennis at city park. I hope the opportunity to make similar memories can be made available to the current youth in VC.

The tennis courts in my development in Florida double as pickle ball courts.

Pickleball and tennis can and should co-exist. Please keep the tennis courts so both sports can be enjoyed.

Very disappointing. Let’s find a way to grow new sports without devastating existing programs. Keep the tennis courts.

Physical activity promotes a healthy lifestyle, and needs to be supported by maintaining sports equipment used by all ages.

So many fond memories of hot summer tennis days and nights under the lights at City Park. I love pickle ball too but can’t we have both? There must be a way to figure that out.

Dual use courts would make more sense for the community.

Please save the tennis courts in City Park! They’re not only vital to our community, but the school needs them to host events and to support the tennis program! Pickle ball can be played there as well, just don’t take away the flexibility of accommodating both.

I think pickle ball courts would be a wonderful addition to our community but not at the sacrifice of the tennis courts. There should be some way this community can have both. Whether it is different colored lines on the city park courts or a complete separate pickle ball court area. This separate court could be in one of our beautiful parks or on one of the many green spaces that have been created through flood protection buy outs.

I feel like there is a better way than to limit a court to one use. I think there is a way to paint extra lines on a tennis court to make pickle ball lines. You could also get a net that can go higher and lower.

Maybe as long as it’s being discussed build a couple indoor courts

I spent many hours at those tennis courts in that beautiful park. Valley City has the nicest tennis setting of any I have seen. Don't limit the courts to just pickle ball. Make it tennis & pickle ball so everyone can play in the beautiful park.

Tennis is booming! Don’t let the loudest voices in the room dictate policy. Save the tennis courts!

Tennis at these courts is something I have enjoyed with my young family. There are so many places that it is frowned upon to have young children. How can we teach our children if we eliminate places they are allowed? An AARP grant by name just seems to keep children and family out.

Small town needs multi use facilities. Also very important to be able to keep the HS program.

Make them a dual purpose.

Please keep tennis courts
