Until I moved to Cirencester 22 years ago I'd never heard of the mop but soon got to find out once my children started school. October is mop month, too many generations have followed the yearly event to just do away with. Last year the excuse for not using forum car park was work carried out to it hadn't long been finished, this year they're working on market place so what's wrong with using sheep street car park it's big enough or the field on the Gloucester Road where the circus goes every year.

I think it's a stupid idea your stopping the mop. We have had it for years. And all the children enjoy it!x

To cancel the Mop is the wrong decision. An alternative venue should have been found.

Think this is wrong, there are so many families that can't get out of town to go to other mop fairs with there children in our town.
This would be a fight that our town should win so our kids can have fun, it's only once a week for 2 weeks a year.
Y not put it in the old bus station car park and let our town have our tradition back

I think it's disgusting the we have lost yet another tradition. They say no where to put it. Rubbish what about the old Bus depot car park, there's plenty of room there.

The mop is a big part of Cirencester, everyone looks forward to it young and old, please allow us to have the mop this year. I have a 6 year old who is desperate to have the mop again and I would hate to have to tell her it's not on.

Mop is a big thing in Cirencester, This town has got hardly anything for the kids and family's so this is a huge thing to keep in the community once a year.

Mop is a big part of cirencester each year ,it allows family and friends together enjoy a bit of fun .plus good day for the kids to D-stress before there exams
