It's something that's looked forward to each year for such a long time. The market place isn't suitable, half the rides can't go up ,its not the same!
Don't let the council ruin yet another thing for us all

To have no mop in cirencester for the first time in 600ys just says it all,the people on the council are just a waste of time and money wasters, think of what the people want ! Do things to bring people into town!! no mop, buses & taxis aloud in center what nx

Living in a town with not much for children and teens to do i think that the dismissal of the mop fair is a crying shame. I know as a teen it was one of the reasons i loved autumn and my own children love going too! Its a tradition it shouldnt just be forgotten about!!

There are plenty of places the mop could be held and plenty of affluent people/businesses that surely could help with providing somewhere for it to go.

Us locals, feel as though we are being disregarded and pushed out. The fair is a well established, long standing tradition. We, adults and children alike, all look forward to the marking of autumn with the mop fair. I am, if minds are put to work, somewhere could be found for the mop so it may continue.
