I've known these guy's for year's I'm from balbriggan and even the people over here are willing to travel to malahide just for the ice rink these people put on a great event every year no matter where they go the staff are very polite and helpful,I think this is a disgrace there's nothing for kid's around and when we get something the small majority kick up good luck lad's and ladies

I am the President of the Junior Flying Ducks ice hockey club. We are the Dublin based club open to all ages and abilities. We are relying on this temp rink to allow our 60 kids to train. Some of these kids are travelling to the US and Canada next year to represent Ireland. We have worked extremely hard to also be in a position to provide safety equipment and skates to local kids who want to try our fantastic sport! Please consider the impact this will have to our sport and kids.

Please give it the go ahead for the sake of tourism growth, business development and to highlight all that Malahide truly has to offer ... Bad planning on all sides but goodwill and forward thinking can salvage this unique event. I'm part of the Malahide diaspora spread across the globe who will return home this Christmas and would relish the opportunity to support all local businesses and activities and enjoy them with my kids.....

As we weren't aware of the clandestine meeting of yesterday morning and been giving the ability to air our view , I would appreciate the opportunity to air a definite welcome and yes to the Christmas Kingdom to be held in Malahide
