the Village Green is just that! It belongs to all the people of Malahide, so we should all have a say about what taken place there!

This would bring so much business to Malahide not to mention the excitment and happiness it would bring to all the people (children and adults)

1,103 signatures probably made up mostly of local business interests is hardly a true reflection of the local malahide community. Infrastructure not in place for such an event in an already gridlocked and congested village. Plenty of space in malahide castle for such an event if was to cater for local community - but I guess that wouldn't allow local business get their cut. Sod the rest of us who have to live here.

Should have been consultation but I think it would have been great for the village and Christmas atmosphere.

Ridiculous that a turn out of 70 residents managed to remove this lovely event from the village we travel to how the each year with the kids, spend in market and stay for dinner. Would rather stay in our local community

I am so disappointed as myself and a group of friends were planning on traveling to Malahide and stay at the Grand Hotel to enjoy the Christmas Kingdom this year. We are sorry to hear this may not be possible given recent events. We do hope that it still goes ahead as we are really looking forward to going there. Our kids can hardly wait to go there and we simply couldn't break their hearts telling them it might be cancelled.
Save Christmas and my nieces birthday!
